Immediate Implants

Dental implant surgery usually includes two steps - recovery of tooth extraction and the surgical implantation of artificial root. It usually takes 3 to 6 months between the first and second steps. However, with the advancement of dental implant technology, immediate dental implantation simultaneously with tooth extraction is possible! Immediate loading (temporary implant crown/bridge) is also possible. 

(In this case, the molar has root fracture. It was extracted and an implant placed at the same day.)

There are three advantages of immediate implant (One day implant / Same-day implant)

• It shortens the treatment process and reduces the time for patients to visit back and forth. 
• Implant will be directly placed into the tooth socket after tooth extraction without additional surgery.
• It reduces the physiological absorption of alveolar bone and minimizes the chance of gum atrophy.
